Coaching Skills for Managers
The course is designed to build and strengthen the ability of the manager to coach their staff members. It introduces a number of coaching approaches but focuses on the TGROW model. As well as covering the key skills of coaching, participants will leave knowing how to give effective feedback, ask useful questions to help their coachee develop and agree useful objectives.
This is a highly interactive workshop with the morning given over to the skills and knowledge of coaching; the afternoon is primarily taken up with practicing the skills and feedback. Topics covered are:
- What is coaching & where it fits in the development continuum
- The key skills of the coach
- The TGROW model
- Building rapport
- Giving effective feedback
- Questioning skills
- Developing objectives
- Coaching – practical application
- My personal actions
On successful completion of the course delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
