The NOCN Level 2 Certificate in Plant Operations (Construction) – Compacting (Ride on Roller) is a competence-based qualification designed for individuals operating ride on roller plant equipment within the construction and civil engineering industries.
This qualification enables learners to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and understanding to safely operate a Ride on Roller in a real workplace environment.
Who should attend?
This qualification is suitable for:
· Individuals currently operating or required to operate a ride on roller
· Plant Operators without a formal qualification
· Learners working towards a recognised plant operator card, such as CSCS Blue Competent Operator Card or NPORS Competent Operator Card
· Employers wishing to formally recognise and evidence workforce competence
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however learners must be working in a relevant role operating a ride on roller and have access to a real workplace environment to gather evidence.
Qualification Structure
To achieve this qualification, learners must complete the required combination of units, including:
Mandatory Units
· Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
· Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
Optional Unit
· Preparing and Operating Ride on Rollers to Compact Materials in the Workplace
The aims of this qualification are to:
· Enable learners to demonstrate occupational competence in operating a ride on roller
· Ensure learners understand and apply health, safety and welfare requirements
· Confirm knowledge of productive working practices within the workplace
